Sport-U17 Nigeria team won 6-1 in a friendly match...

Hensfield Football Club had been defeated 6-1 in a friendly game played at the Fifa Goal Project ground in Abuja on Thursday by Nigeria Under 17 team. There high score in the friendly match played has made it tally up to 170 goals in 55 games that the Coach Emmanuel Amuneke’s boys as gotten so far as they continue preparations for the 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup.

A first half treble from Orji Okoronkwo plus strikes from Promise Orji, Kelechi Nwakali and Ginika Eze were all the Golden Eaglets needed to emerge victorious while their opponents got their solitary strike through Muhammed Abiola.

"I'm quite impressed with the way Orji and Nwakali took their chances which is very good," former U17 coach, Manu Garba who watched from the stands said after the game.

"The team's general performance was very good especially in the first half  and with many more matches, they would get better for the World Cup,” he concluded.
